Jigsaw
goes
organic
Forget every preconception you ever had
about organic clothing, because it’s now
just hit the high street. Jigsaw is launching
its first ever organic clothing range on 11
October and there’s not a Hessian sack in
sight. The four-piece tweed collection
has been created using
organic wool
produced by the
Ardalanish farm in
Scotland, which is
certified organic
by the Soil
Association.
Organic produce
is clearly close
to the heart of
Jigsaw creator
John Robinson,
who also runs
an organic farm
with his wife
Belle. It’s not
easy to turn
organic tweed
into a must-have
fashion collection,
but Jigsaw has
pulled it off. Each
piece – jacket, coat, trilby and
skirt – has a fab British quirkiness,
proof that tweed isn’t exclusive to flat
caps and farmers.

ART
Art attacks London
The year’s two biggest art fairs arrive in London over the next fortnight, unveiling
a hotbed of exciting new talent. First up is October’s annual Frieze Art Fair. This is
the most influential and prestigious of the fairs, with 164 galleries from around the
globe lending their work to London’s Regents Park, showcasing over 1,000 artists.
If you’re looking to snap up some art for your home, the Affordable Art Fair
may be more your thing. In its 10th year, the London event still sticks to the
£50-£3,000 price range and showcases new talent. The AAF brand has become
so successful that fairs are now held in New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels,
Sydney and Melbourne. But the British event is still the best. To find out how to
turn your love of art into serious dosh, turn to page 44.
