masterpiece for £40
POLITICS
It shot to No 1 on the bestseller list weeks
before its release in the States, and is
outselling Dan Brown’s new novel The
Lost Symbol – but no one has actually
read it yet. Sarah Palin’s no-holdsbarred
autobiography, Going
Rogue: An American Life is
finally unleashed on the world
on 17 November.
What exactly we can expect
from the former vice-presidential
candidate is anyone’s guess, but
THE POSTCARDS ARE ANONYMOUS, SO
YOU COULD BUY A PIECE BY A FAMOUS
ARTIST OR AN UNKNOWN STUDENT
Palin returns – in print
The Royal College of Art plays host to its annual ‘RCA
Secrets’ exhibition this month, where for only £40 you
could bag an original postcard designed by a top artist,
designer or musician. But here’s the fun part; you won’t
know who made it until after you’ve bought it and seen
the signature on the back. Over 200 names have
contributed already, including former Stone Roses guitarist
John Squire, Yoko Ono and painter Maggie Hambling.
There will be up to 2,500 original postcard-sized
artworks exhibited, from a range of big names and little
known contributors, including students from the RCA.
The exhibition runs from 13-20 November or you can look
online first to see if you can spot the big-money pieces,
then 21 November is your chance to buy. Expect a scrum!
