MOJO, MANCHESTER
A cocktail bar for cocktail
makers. This is a hidden gem
where bartenders drink while
you do. The jukebox music is
legendary, and dancing is on
the bar à la Coyote Ugly. It
may not scream chic but it
does scream. And sometimes
that’s the only thing that’ll do.

69 COLEBROOKE ROW, LONDON
Finding the hottest new venue is
always satisfying. Enter this new
haunt from the woman behind
the Charles Lamb pub, Camille
Hobby-Limon, and superstar
mixologist Tony Conigliaro. Consisting
of a small front room with a bar, some
Chesterfield sofas and an upright
piano, there’s actually a secret lab
upstairs where Tony mixes the
high-tech cocktails. Pianist Maurice
plays jazz and swing classics. Take
your friends for some serious kudos.
Tipples Tony has taken it
upon himself to push ‘molecular
mixology’ to another level, so
expect ‘hay-infused’ apples and
spritzes. Order a boring vodka
and tonic at your peril.
Nibbles Does the job. Think olives,
bite-sized saucisson and tasty
cheese boards.
Damage Vedett beer is £3.50 and
all house cocktails are £8.
Guestlist Doesn’t discriminate
but worth calling ahead. The genius
can only create for so many.
