n awards ceremony just
isn’t the same without
the gallons of glamour
A poured on by the
celebrity society in
attendance. And things don’t get much
more glamorous than the Orange
British Academy Film Awards. Once
again hairstylist Charles Worthington
– official hairstylist for the BAFTAs
for two consecutive years – was in
attendance styling the hair of actresses,
presenters and celebrity guests.
With over 20 years of experience in
the industry and having previously
styled at the Oscars and Golden
Globes, Charles has worked with some
of film’s most glamorous leading ladies.
At this year’s BAFTAs, it was the
likes of Joely Richardson, Rebecca Hall
and Tamsin Egerton who added some
old-school Hollywood glamour with
their effortless looks.
To get Joely’s loose updo, Charles
recommends volumising your hair

blow-drying it. Tong hair then run your
fingers through it to loosen the curls.
Put into a French plait then pin the
loose strands around your ears.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona and
Dorian Gray actress, Rebecca Hall,
went for a classic Forties’ starlet look.

by adding a deep side-parting then
tonging locks in vertical sections. To
keep each curl in shape throughout
the evening, finish off with Charles

For St Trinian’s star Tamsin Egerton’s
tumbling hair, Charles recommends
