It’s a great personal frustration that
the most we seem to hear about
Michelle Obama is what she’s
wearing, whether she’s holding
Barack’s hand or if she’s been
exercising her upper arms. Since
the Obama administration took
office in January,
the media has
been guilty of
treating Michelle
like a clothes
horse. Of
course, like all
women, I’m
inspired by
stylish women
I see around me
– but I’m also
interested in her mind! The truth is,
like most women, Michelle cares
about her appearance, her family,
and her career. She’s an inspiring,
glamorous and intelligent woman
who should be recognised
independently as such.
The cover story really does sum
up our ethos at Stylist – to create a
