Athletics gets a makeover for a
stylish new sportswear project
With sports-friendly fabrics and go-faster
stripes filtering through from catwalk to
high street, sportswear has never been
more stylish. Timely, then, that Nike is
showcasing a collection in collaboration
with fashion’s rising stars.
The collection, My N98 Muse, is the
result of six London Fashion Week
designers getting their hands on Nike’s
iconic N98 Track Jacket design and
customising it, while using a young British
athlete as their design muse.
Available to view at Nike’s 1948 design
space in Shoreditch, London, the range
includes a body-con dress made by London
designer Hannah Marshall for distance
runner Charlotte Purdue (above), while
Julian J Smith has created a multicoloured
number for sprinter Jodie Williams (right).
Although the masterpieces can only be
seen in a glass display, we’ve got our fingers
crossed they’ll make it into shops soon.
