Forget reading self-help books or
attending motivational lectures, if
you really want to know the secret
of success, the answer, apparently,
is to surround yourself with the
colour blue.
A survey by Sandtex paints has
found that people living in houses
where the predominant colour is
blue are considerably more successful
than those living with any other colour.
On average, ‘blue’ home owners earn
£38,000 a year, take at least two
annual holidays abroad and will have
been promoted at work twice.
And presumably, keeping up with
the paintwork is a tiring job because
14% pay for caterers when entertaining,
11% have a regular cleaner, and 8%
employ a nanny.
Better have a re-think before you
attack your exterior with a tin of
magnolia, then. But if painting your
entire house this weekend seems like
an arduous task, you can reap some
of the colours’ success by investing in
some cool blue furnishings instead.
