Despite one particular colleague’s
disapproval (she’s ruined her own
hair from over-dyeing, apparently),
I colour my hair every eight weeks
without fail. Add straightening and

called Chronologiste by Kérastase
– an ultra-replenishing formula
that contains ‘caviar’ pearls and
promises to take your hair back
to its virginal “pre-colour, pre-heat
treatment state.” The potion is
mixed in front of you to activate
ingredients, then left on your scalp
for 20 minutes.
Yes, I was sceptical, but for weeks
afterwards – up until my next
appointment, even – my hair felt
stronger, shinier and revitalised –
like everything I’d ever stripped
from my hair had been piled back
in… Highly recommended for
all hair sadists out there.
