Make-up
king Nars
brings back
glamour
Make-up maestro François
Nars never does things by
halves and is renowned for
his bold colours and risqué
product names, such as Deep
Throat and Striptease. So it
comes as no surprise that
his latest muse is fashion
royalty Daphne Guinness,
who Nars met during
a shoot for Vogue Italia.
Her flamboyant, aristocratic
elegance fuelled his passion for
glamorous make-up reminiscent
of old Hollywood. The result
is an a/w 2010 collection in
which retro decadence
meets futuristic chic, with
beautiful, deep, rich reds
and blue tones including
a regal purple eyeshadow
named Daphne (£16).
The truly fabulous
collection includes
nine pieces in total.
“I hope women
take the change of
seasons as a chance
to experiment, mix
the shades and
textures and have
fun,” says Nars.
