“I treat people with skin conditions

for something that I
know is going to work.
For the last five
years I’ve been using
the Obagi Nu-Derm
Programme. It’s a
prescription-strength
line with the highest level
of Vitamin A you can get.
Because of my profession I look at all
the ingredients and I’m strict about
alternating with the Vitamin C Serum
and Glycolic Peel (both prescription
only) to get the maximum results. Retin
A in particular is such an effective
anti-ageing ingredient, minimising
blackheads and stimulating collagen.
I don’t leave the house without
sunscreen, and my favourite is

Sunsense Daily Face, £9, which is
factor 50 and has a neutral matte
finish that’s great for UVA and UVB.
For any major breakouts
I use Duac, £12.92, a prescription
sstrength antibacterial and
benzonyl peroxide
which dries out spots,
but otherwise I rely on
Laura Mercier’s Secret
Camouflage, £24.50 (7).
If it was an absolute
emergency, I would
have a tiny injection of
hydrocortisone, which
I have administered on
patients to bring down
a spot if they’ve had
an eruption at a major event like their
wedding, but I would use a terribly
small amount and be very cautious.
I do get fine lines under my eyes.
I will need Botox on a regular basis and
I’ve already used it around the frown
area. I’m Irish and quite animated and
this is where most people try it first.
It’s tolerable and no more painful than
a bikini wax but so important
as a preventative measure.”

send me off to sleep instantly.
I put on my fragrance straight after
the shower. In winter it’s Robert

Piguet’s Fracas, £85, and in summer it’s
Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess, £36.
I love Sisley’s All Day All Year
Moisturiser, £199, it’s so light. If I’m
feeling pale and tired, I’ll use Nars
Laguna bronzer, £22, and add a touch
of YSL’s Crème De Blush, £28. I love
hard eye pencils because they don’t
run, Sisley’s Phyto Khol eyeliner, £28,
is great for defining the under and
inner eyelids. For my concealer
I go for the industrial strength Special
Effect Camouflage
Pencil from Ben Nye,
£10.50 (6). My
current mascara of
choice is L’Oréal’s
Double Extension,
£10.99. I repeat my
morning cleansing ritual
at night, and finish off
with a pat of Crème De La
Mer, £93. I wash my hair
every two days, and I love
Aveda’s Dry Remedy, £17,
and use Shu Uemura’s Camelia Oil,
£37.50, every week. Oribe’s Royal
Blowdry, £40, is my new hair miracle
product because it calms the hair and
gives it that lovely post-salon finish.”
